6 Mar 2008 - Changes to SYHA bookings

Due to changes by the SYHA, the Club can no longer make provisional bookings on behalf of members.

Any bookings made by the Club in future must be based on a firm commitment by Members to go to the relevant hostel for the particular Club weekend, i.e. full payment must be made to the Club before places are booked with the SYHA for those club members who are not SYHA members but who wish to take advantage of the club group SYHA membership.

Equally, full payment must be made by club members to the Club for those who are SYHA members individually, but who may still wish the Club to book their place at the hostel, as part of the group.

Any cancellations thereafter would then be refunded according to the table of charges used by the SYHA, since these would have been imposed on the Club otherwise.

Club members who are also individual SYHA members can still of course book independently through the SYHA central booking office in Stirling.
